And I gotta say the result is very impressive! It's also very easy to set up. RTX Voice, while great, is limited to Nvidia GPUs and needs to be run manually each time I want to use it so it wasn't very convenient to me, so I decided to look into other alternatives and found RNNoise, or rather "Real-time Noise Suppression Plugin" which is a plugin based on RNNoise. I tried things such as RTX Voice, a few built-in options in Discord and custom EQ. While it's not a big issue it's something that can easily be alleviated, so this got me into tweaking my own microphone setup a bit. Like a lot of people I've been using Zoom and Discord a lot for the past year due to the pandemic, for gaming as well as studying, and the sound of fans, keyboard noise or cars driving by has been a constant distraction during this time. ![]()
